From the Files of the Time Rangers is a mosaic novel about the Rangers, those cops who patrol the Time Stream, and the gods, Apollo, Diana, Mercury and the rest, whom they serve and with whom they struggle. It takes place on Manhattan's mean streets and on the estates of the wealthy.

Kage Baker (The Children Of The Company, The Life Of The World To Come) did the introduction. In it she says, "From the Files of the Time Rangers treats of an American dynasty of aristocrats nurtured over ages to produce a certain man for a certain day of foreseen calamity...".
